Kicking off this Tuesday, October 23rd in Anchorage, is the Hale Borealis Forum 2018. Sponsored by the State of Alaska, Section of Rural and Community Health Systems, the three-day event, themed “Strengthening Whole Community Partnerships to Improve Healthcare Resiliency,” brings together healthcare, EMS, emergency management, law enforcement, and other critical stakeholders, with a focus on health and medical emergency preparedness, response, and recovery. And, BOLDplanning will be there with bells on!

The event, which is taking place at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center, is a dynamic training and networking opportunity for everyone—from novice to expert alike. The Forum offers more than 50 trauma, prehospital, tactical, emergency preparedness, and law enforcement sessions, focused on managing the health and medical impact of disasters and emergency incidents.

Forum workshops include: Lessons learned from Las Vegas, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and other recent events; Latest trends in medical response to terroristic and natural disasters; and, Recent developments in public health and infectious disease management, among others.
