Altoona, Pennsylvania. That’s where emergency management professionals from across the “Keystone State,” along with sponsors and exhibitors like BOLDplanning, are this week. They’re there to take part in the first-ever Emergency Preparedness Conference presented by the Keystone Emergency Management Association (KEMA).

KEMA is Pennsylvania’s official professional association dedicated to providing a Commonwealth-wide forum for the exchange of ideas, techniques, and best practices in Emergency Management. As such, the inaugural conference is appropriately themed, “Creating Connections, Building Bridges . . . Together.” And, it’s sure to be a success, as the event features over 30 educational presentations, a myriad of vendors, and plenty of networking opportunities. Just check out the agenda for yourself.

KEMA’s Emergency Preparedness Conference runs Sunday, October 21st through Tuesday, October 23rd. It’s being held at the Blair County Convention Center.

Building on the Inaugural Conference, plans are already underway for next year’s KEMA event. The location will not change (Blair County Convention Center), but the dates will. Mark your calendars for October 27-29, 2019. We hope to see you there!
