As a reminder, there is $12 million available from FEMA for non-federal dams to reduce risk, increase community preparedness, and provide flood protection. But the application period isn’t open much longer–it will close on Friday, June 25, 2021.
Eligible to apply for the grant are state administrative agencies or equivalent state agencies with an enacted dam safety program and a designated high-hazard potential.
The annual funding is part of the Rehabilitation of High Hazard Potential Dams Grant Program for fiscal year 2021.
