Months in the making, and with the help of Tennessee-based BOLDplanning, Carver County, Minnesota, now has a new and completely online Continuity of Operations (COOP) plan. The planning effort concluded last week, December 10 and 11, 2019, when the company facilitated COOP Plan Finalization Workshops for various county departments. Among those in attendance were: Carver County Property and Finance, IT, Emergency Management, Patrol Services, Investigations, Health and Human Services, Public Services, Court Services, Administration, the Attorney’s Office, and Employee Relations.

The workshops, which were conducted in Chaska (the county seat), were led by BOLDplanning representative, Brittney Whatley, CBCP. Also in attendance was BOLDplanning representative, Karla O’Grady, PCP Lvl 1, who is responsible for customer success.

Carver County encompasses 354+ square miles of land and is located just southwest of the beautiful Twin Cities. It is considered one of the fastest growing counties in the State of Minnesota. In fact, the U.S. Census Bureau estimates the County’s population to now be at 103,551 people (up from 98,741 in 2015).

With no sign of things slowing down, it is good to know that Carver County is committed to emergency preparedness and the uninterrupted delivery of essential community services. On behalf of BOLDplanning, keep up the great work in 2020 (and beyond)!Â
