BOLDplanning recently had the honor of initiating a Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning program with Oregon’s Clackamas Community College (CCC). The college, long recognized for its committed, supportive faculty and staff, offers programs and services in career technical, college transfer, literacy/basic skills, community education and business training to a diverse student body totaling more than 26,000 at three active campuses. Its main campus is located in Oregon City, which is where the COOP kick-off meeting took place in mid-November 2019.

Among the many college staff present at the meeting were: CCC President, Tim Cook; Director of College Safety, Thomas Sonoff; Dean of Campus Services, Bob Cochran; and Executive Director of College Relations and Marketing, Lori Hall. Representatives from various CCC teaching disciplines, facilities and IT were also in attendance. The meeting was facilitated by BOLDplanning representative, Matt Eyer, PMP, CHS-V, CBCP.

“Knowing a COOP kick-off meeting is the crucial first step toward developing a complete continuity program, it was encouraging to see such a great turnout in Oregon City last week,” said Eyer. “Over time and by using the BOLDplanning.com platform, CCC will further strengthen its abilities to continue providing vital services through adverse events.”

While the date has not been solidified as of yet, BOLDplanning will return to the campus of CCC for COOP mid-term workshops in early 2020.
