As part of its annual conference, the Georgia Primary Care Association (GPCA) hosted a Health Care Emergency & Continuity Planning (HCECP) refresher workshop on August 28, 2019, in beautiful Stone Mountain, Georgia. The workshop, which covered healthcare emergency and recovery concepts, was facilitated by BOLDplanning subject matter expert, James Woulfe, CHEP, CHPCP. Among the many topics covered by James during his time with the group was the powerful reporting capability of the BOLDplanning.com HCECP tool.
The BOLDplanning.com platform is the solution of choice for more than 10,000 organizational plans nationwide. This includes a number of plans for the healthcare organizations that must now comply with the CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule. The purpose of the rule is to establish national emergency preparedness requirements to ensure adequate planning for both natural and man-made disasters, and coordination with federal, state, tribal, regional and local emergency preparedness systems.

GPCA is designated as the state Primary Care Association (PCA) by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The association represents all 34 HRSA funded Georgia Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) organizations. Collectively, the Georgia FQHC organizations have approximately 225 clinic sites in 120 counties in the state.
