The 33rd Annual Governor’s Hurricane Conference® is now officially underway at Florida’s Palm Beach County Convention Center—it runs May 12-17, 2019. And, like last year, BOLDplanning is there. The company is located in Booth #620 on the exhibit floor. Exhibits are open Tuesday, May 15th, from 11 AM to 6 PM and Wednesday, May 16th, from 8 AM and 12 PM.
If you’re among the many who are attending the annual event, we invite you to stop by and visit with BOLDplanning COO, Rick Wimberly, and John Taylor, Regional Director, FEMA Regions I, II, III and VI. Both are conducting one-on-one demonstrations of the BOLDplanning.com platform, which is currently the solution of choice for more than 10,000 organization plans, including Continuity of Operations Plans (COOPs), Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs) and Hazard Mitigation Plans (HMPs).
Such plans lend nicely to the theme of this year’s conference, Road to Readiness. It recognizes the challenges associated with readiness and resilience for Florida’s vulnerable communities, particularly in the wake of recent hurricanes like Michael (October 2018).
This year’s conference agenda includes more than 40 training sessions, 65 workshops, a variety of seminars, and a dynamic general session, featuring Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. There will also be plenty of opportunity to network with peers and enhance your learning (and hopefully your community’s readiness and resilience). And, you’ll have the chance to win a DJI® Spark Mini-Drone and a flatscreen TV from BOLDplanning (Booth #620).
Unable to attend this year’s conference in beautiful West Palm Beach? It’s never too early to plan for the next one. The 34th Annual Governor’s Hurricane Conference is scheduled for May 17-22, 2020.
