BOLDplanning visited Aztec, New Mexico, the seat of San Juan County, on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, to work directly with Floodplain Manager, Michele Truby-Tillen, of San Juan Emergency Management. The full-day, on-site meeting addressed two key areas of emergency management planning—Hazard Mitigation and Emergency Operations. Both plans are now being updated within the cloud-based BOLDplanning.com platform. 

BOLDplanning Global Solutions team representatives, James Woulfe, CBCP, CHEP, CHPCP, and Emily Long, PCP (Lvl 1), led the day’s discussions. Both would like to thank Michele, as well as Mike Mestas, San Juan County Emergency Manager (centered in the picture), for their hospitality last week. And, of course, for their tireless work to foster a culture of preparedness in the County. 

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, San Juan County, New Mexico, had a population of approximately 128,000 people in 2017.
