As a BOLDplanning customer since February 2017, the Central Florida Disaster Medical Coalition (CFDMC) consistently relies on the company’s staff and online planning platform to support its continuity planning efforts. This often includes the facilitation of workshops like the one, Principles of Continuity Planning, held last Friday, May 21, 2021.

With representatives from several CFDMC member organizations in attendance, BOLDplanning Manager of Global Solutions, James Woulfe, CHEP, CHPCP, CBCP, touched on a variety of topics. Among them were basic continuity planning vocabulary and definitions, key elements of an effective continuity plan, plan maintenance best practices, and the concept of continuity as a “program” rather than just a plan.  James also provided a thorough demonstration of BOLDplanning’s cloud-based planning platform, dubbed CFDMCprepared.com, for the Coalition.

Like other healthcare coalitions across the county, CFDMC serves a true “force multiplier,” helping organizations such as hospitals, public health departments, EMS providers, and others to fill critical gaps in emergency preparedness. CFDMC specifically develops and prompts healthcare emergency preparedness and response capabilities in the East Central Florida Domestic Security Task Force Region 5 (RDSTF Region 5). The Region is comprised of nine counties: Brevard, Indian River, Lake, Martin, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, St Lucie, and Volusia.

On behalf of the entire BOLDplanning team, thank you, CFDMC, for the opportunity to continue to partner in preparedness!
