Continuity of Operations (COOP) plan reviews for the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, kicked off on Monday, April 5, 2021, and continued throughout the week until their completion on Friday, April 9, 2021.

Following the City’s Mid-Term Workshops in March, which allowed designated department leaders to begin inputting pertinent information into their COOP plans, subsequent plan reviews gave department leaders a chance to see the progress made and determine areas for improvement moving forward. Among those in attendance and representing the City of Little Rock were Matt Burks, Emergency Management Coordinator, and Cassidy Ezzi, Emergency Management Analyst.

In the review phase of the plan development project, BOLDplanning subject matter expert (SME), Fulton Wold, MBCP, conducted a qualitative and quantitative review of each department’s plan to ensure ease of use and of course, compliance with federal guidelines.

The next step of the planning process includes setting up a finalization workshop for the City of Little Rock. The additional time together will allow departments to receive feedback specific to their plans and the City’s overarching COOP. The finalization workshop is tentatively scheduled for May 2021.
