This week, BOLDplanning is in America’s heartland for the 2019 Iowa Homeland Security Conference. It’s taking place on the bustling campus of the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC). The conference runs Wednesday, October 30 through Friday, November 1, 2019.

The goal of this year’s event is to incorporate topics related to Emergency Support Functions (ESFs) being updated by local emergency management coordinators in support of the state’s Planning, Training and Exercise (PTE) strategy. More specifically, the focus of these ESF updates will pertain to the crucial elements of ESF #1 Transportation, ESF #3 Public Works, ESF #7 Public Works, and ESF #12 Energy (as identified by FEMA).

If you’re attending this year’s Iowa Homeland Security conference, please stop by the BOLDplanning booth and say hello. Company representatives, Brittney Whatley, CBCP, and Cathleen Atchison, MEP, PCP (an Iowa native), would truly enjoy meeting you and learning more about your organization’s planning efforts. Both will be providing hands-on demonstrations of the BOLDplanning.com platform (the solution of choice for more than 10,000 emergency, continuity and mitigation plans nationwide).

Also, be sure to register for the company’s drawing for a DJI® Spark Mini-Drone. It will be given away to one lucky attendee before exhibits draw to a close. Good luck and we’ll see you in Des Moines!
