Next week, hundreds of individuals sharing the common goal of preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation in California, will come together for the California Emergency Services Association (CESA) 2019 conference. The annual event—this year themed “Emergency Managers: Resilience Never Dies”—will be held in Rohnert Park (Sonoma Wine Country). It runs October 21-24, 2019.

Among the many people and organizations taking part in the conference is Tennessee-based BOLDplanning. The company specializes in online Emergency Operations Planning (EOP), Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP), and Hazard Mitigation Planning (HMP), and federally guided preparedness exercises.

BOLDplanning representative, Karla O’Grady, PCP (Lvl 1), will occupy booth #5 on the exhibit floor. There, she will provide hands-on demonstrations of the BOLDplanning.com platform; spend some quality time with several California clients, including Monterey and Stanislaus counties; and hopefully get to know some potential new ones. Karla will also be registering visitors to the booth for two company-sponsored drawings: one for a for a DJI® Spark Mini-Drone, and another for a flatscreen TV. As a reminder, CESA is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to the promotion of mutual support and cooperation across disciplines in preparing for natural and human-caused disasters and public emergencies. This dynamic organization includes academic institutions, representatives from government agencies, utilities, and businesses of all types, nonprofits and faith-based organizations, as well as media and elected officials. The three chapters of CESA (Coastal, Inland and Southern) follow the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services Administrative regions: Coastal, Inland and Southern.

If you’re among the many who plan to attend the CESA 2019 conference, safe travels. BOLDplanning, booth #5, will see you in wine country!
