On September 3 and 4, 2019, the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security hosted a series of Continuity of Operations (COOP) workshops for various State of Wyoming departments. (Each department in the State has a continuity plan in WyoPlans.com, one of BOLDplanning’s many online COOP systems.) The four half-day workshops were divided into two different sessions—COOP Refresher and COOP Advanced Reporting—and were conducted by BOLDplanning subject matter expert, James Woulfe
As anticipated, the COOP refresher workshops gave participants the opportunity to brush up on their continuity terminology, elements, concepts, and strategies for developing/updating their plans. The COOP Advanced Reporting workshops, on the other hand, took participants beyond the basics to share best practices for Program Management and strategies, as well as User Management within the COOP tool. There was also time dedicated to demonstrating exactly how the tool’s powerful reporting capabilities can provide decision-makers specific information during an event or exercise.
Special thanks to Corine Aranda, Senior Planner & Exercise Officer at Wyoming Office of Homeland Security, for organizing and coordinating these workshops for all State of Wyoming departments. Pictured with Corine is BOLDplanning Senior Project Manager and trainer, James Woulfe, CBCP.
