Like the members of the Oregon Emergency Management Association (OEMA), BOLDplanning is committed to minimizing the impacts of disasters on communities throughout their majestic state. That’s why company founder and CEO, Fulton Wold, and Customer Care Manager, Carlin Alford, are in the City of Bend, Oregon this week. They’re taking part in the Association’s 2018 Conference, which runs through Thursday, October 11th, at the Riverhouse on the Deschutes.
With over 300 members, OEMA is a statewide association of emergency managers, emergency responders, government agencies, elected officials, and providers of products, services, or resources who are committed to building strong partnerships to minimize the impacts of disasters on the citizens and communities of Oregon.
Among the many presenters listed on the conference agenda are Jamie Baxter with the Oregon Disaster Medical Team; Dean Marcum with the Oregon Public Health Authority; and Mike Harryman, an Adjunct Faculty Member of Concordia University. (Mike, who you may recognize from last month’s BOLDplanning Thought Leadership Webinar, is also Oregon’s first State Resilience Officer.) Several FEMA facilitators will also be on hand for breakout sessions/prep talks during the three-day event.
