Savannah, Georgia. That’s where you’ll find BOLDplanning representatives, Rick Wimberly (Chief Operating Officer) and John Taylor (Director of Business Development), this week. They’re attending the NEMA Annual Forum, which runs through Thursday, October 4th. The company, located in Booth #2, is a GOLD sponsor of the annual event, which is hosted by the National Emergency Management Association (NEMA).
NEMA is a professional organization that provides national leadership and expertise in comprehensive emergency management; serves as a vital emergency management information and assistance resource; and advances continuous improvement in emergency management through strategic partnerships, innovative programs, and collaborative policy positions.
According to NEMA, the national forum provides opportunities to discuss national and regional emergency management strategies with other emergency management professionals from around the country, and with experts in the field. The vast majority of states are represented. For that reason, federal agencies, members of Congress and the current Administration, and others attend the meetings so they can discuss policy and program issues, and get input from state directors.
Like so many others, Rick and John are taking it all in. They’re also enjoying spending some quality time with several BOLDplanning customers who are attending the forum. And, of course, meeting with so many others who can benefit from the company’s online platform for continuity, emergency and mitigation planning, and consultative services.
If you’re at the NEMA Annual Forum 2018 in Savannah, stop by the BOLDplanning exhibit (Booth #2) and say hello. If not, maybe we’ll see you at the NEMA 2019 Mid-Year Forum in Alexandria, Virginia, March 29-April 2, 2019. Or, at the NEMA 2019 Annual Forum in Coeur d’Alene, ID, October 26-29, 2019. Until then, good luck and happy planning!
