With the mission to develop and promote healthcare emergency preparedness and response capabilities in the East Central Florida Domestic Security Task Force Region 5 (RDSTF Region 5), the Central Florida Disaster Medical Coalition (CFDMC) continues to promote improvements to community resiliency. This includes fine-tuning its Continuity of Operations (COOP) plan, which encompasses the nine counties within RDSTF Region 5. Among them are Brevard, Indian River, Lake, Martin, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, St. Lucie, and Volusia.

Just last week, December 6 and 7, 2018, CFDMC hosted COOP workshops for healthcare entities throughout the Region. Representatives from over 20 organizations were in attendance. Workshop activities were led by BOLDplanning’s own Lead Healthcare Planner, James Woulfe, CHEP, CHPCP, CBCP.

“It’s always a pleasure working with members of the coalition,” says Woulfe. “Building resiliency across the nation is an all-community effort, and the CFDMC is in a leading role.”
