12.12.2016 BOLDplanning in cooperation with the University of Alaska submitted an HMGP project grant in October of this year. The Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management has finished their review of the application and has chosen to award the University the full amount of requested funding. This grant will pay for the purchase and installation of seismic gas shut-off valves on every building of the Anchorage Campus. This funding was highly sought after and the competition was fierce. The success of this application is a testament of the University of Alaska’s staff and their commitment to hazard resiliency. Tony Gertz from the BOLDplanning Mitigation Team does it again!
